A flaw in our system

Our law suite is finally over and now that my blog is private I feel like I can write a little about the some of the things we found out during questioning in regards to our accident.

-The girl who hit my mom and I is developmentally delayed, she has some form of
autism/ aspergers.
-She was only able to complete as far as grade 6 of her schooling. (A grade 6 student is usually 11 or 12 years old, they are not even old enough to have a learners permit.)
-She is unable to work so receives AISH (assured income for the severely handicapped).
-She failed her drivers test three times before finally passing on her fourth try
-She is still driving today with a clean record. No charges were pressed as a result of our accident.

These things don't make sense to me, they baffle my mind and I think they are wrong!
We have a false sense of security in our society,

just posses a lot of questions!

  1. well, when I read Booker your blog post he said "WHAT???!!!?... That's ridiculous!"
I have a few more thoughts, but along the same lines, with alot more choice words, that are not appropriate, even with a private blog.
At the very least her licence should be revoked. Maybe you (or I am sure Booker would be willing to write something for you) could contact a journal/newspaper and bring this story out. Its insane that someone who is not well enough to work or complete anything beyond Grade School can drive. Something with the system needs to change.
