After a few days of lounging around the beach we decided that we needed to do something more physical. We had read lots of reviews about hiking the volcano on St Kitts. Tones of the reviews said it was super hard but that the view was absolutely amazing so it was worth it. We decided to give it a go. It was a good hike, but nothing close to any of the hard mountain hikes either Dahlin or I have done in our lives.
The most difficult thing about it was the intense humidity, as the entire hike was through dense rain forest. I don't think I have ever sweat like that in my life!
It ended up being absolutely beautiful at the top, with a unique feeling as you could see the entire island from where you stand.
It also made me appreciate the beauty of home especially our mountains. Its crazy trying to explain Canada, the prairies to someone who has lived on the tiny island of St Kitts there entire life.
It was a super fun day! But we were definetly hot and ready to get outta the heat by the time we were done!
