To commemorate October 7th we decided to make a trip to Waterton as a family.
It seemed fitting to do something that my mom loved together.
So we hiked Bears Hump.
The kids did so amazing, I don't think any of them complained the whole way up, not even Alli ;)

I have the most amazing family!

No one could ever comprehend how much each and everyone of these smiles mean to me.

This is us rising above the trails and tribulations we have been faced with.
This is us standing strong and steady.
And this is us cleaving to each other.

and these are the products of that...

Its so gratifying to see our family grow and flourish, to see the influence of my mom live on through us. To see my moms legacy continue.

We also did something really special this year.
I really wanted to do something that reinforces that fact that even though my mom is gone, she is still here, that she lives and that someday we will be reunited with her.
What a hard concept for 2, 3, 5, 6, and 8 year olds to understand... not to mention this 27 year old.
So we wrote notes to my mom and sent them to heaven in balloons. Everyone wrote their own note and then together we sent them away.
I loved it!
The kids loved it, except Jack who cried uncontrollably when his balloon flew away :)
Syler hasn't stopped talking about whether Nana got his note in Heaven yet.
They are so cute!!!

I cant believe three years has already gone by, I still miss my mom each and every day!
I dont know how I would get through life without the knowledge that someday we will be reunited! That she still lives and that families are forever!
