Tour of St Kitts

We decided to do a tour of the island to get a little of the history and see the sights.
It was a little slower paced than we are used to. But we still enjoyed it.
There are a lot of unique things on St Kitts.
these fruits supposedly cure cancer

chickens are everywhere... I hate chickens!

There are monkeys all over the island, they are a real problem supposedly. The locals trap them and then try to get the tourists to pay to hold them.... this was our first encounter with them. We pretty much had no choice in this situation. The remainder of the trip we avoided the monkey men with all costs!

Sugar cane used to be the big industry in St Kitts. But they no longer produce that, now ironically tourism is there biggest industry. (Ironic since there was pretty much no tourists on the island.) But we went to check out an old factory and Dahlin of course had to play on the vines for a while.
He decided Tarzan had some serious skill.

Part of the tour took us to an old manor with an impressive garden.
However  Dahlin didn't find it overly impressive.

This is the southern most tip of the island, on one side is the Caribbean Sea and on the other is the Atlantic Ocean.

We ended the tour off at Cockleshell Bay, which is suppose to be one of the busier beaches.... as you can see it was completely empty. It was beautiful with tones of shells. and beautiful sand.
