Last year I decided that we (cough cough Dahlin) needed to come up with another hobby. Waterskiing is great, but it is so weather dependent and when you live in Southern Alberta it is important to have a hobby that you can do in the wind. Cody was really getting into rock climbing so we decided to try it. The first time we went Syler climbed to the very top of the wall with absolutely no fears or problems. He was a complete natural. Laiken, although still a little young, enjoys what he can do as well, more so the bouldering cave. I was pregnant at the time, so I just watched a lot but once I had Huxley I gave it a try and I also enjoy it a lot. We continued to climb through the fall and winter. And then Ethan, Lindsay, Dad, Holly, Becky and pretty much the whole gang took it up. We have all really improved and we try to go about once a week. A couple of weeks ago we ventured out and did our first outside climb. Turns out that there are a lot of really great climbing sites by some of the lakes that we already go to, so we can do both. So when we went to Tie we drove over to Cranbrook to check it out. It was actually quite spectacular to see and we had a really great time!
Cody and a few of his climbing friends, as well as Ethan and Lindsay came for the adventure.
