He is S O happy right now! He just seems to have such a joyful spirit!! He almost always wakes up with a huge grin on his face, which saves him every morning because he is an early riser and I am not but I cant be anything but happy to see his smiley face in the morning, he is usually content to just play and jabber in his crib for at least 10 minutes after he wakes up but every time that I open the door to get him he shoots up holding onto his crib and practically jumps out at me.
He is crawling really fast now, just the other night Dahlin mentioned how funny it is to watch him, he will just be exploring around all casually but when something or someone catches his eye that he wants he will sprint crawl to it. It is pretty funny!
He is a really great eater! He eats pretty much anything we give him. He really loves apple sauce but he also loves anything that he can actually grab and put in his mouth himself, like blueberries or puffed wheat.
He goes down for his naps really easy still, we just give him his bottle and put him in his crib with his blankie and that is that. He usually naps 3 times a day depending on what time he wakes up. His first nap is usually at 9 for about an hour, then he naps around noon again for another hour, and then again around 3 for a couple of hours. He usually sleeps through the night as well. So we have no complaints about this boys sleeping habits!
He loves his family! He loves being in the same room as his brothers although he does prefer when either Dahlin or I are also with him so that we can protect him from them. He loves when his dad gets home and always flaps his little arms when he first sees him. But his very favorite person is still me, he love love loves me!!!! And I love love love that!
He also really loves to be outside, he always b-lines it to the door any time that it is open and gets a little upset if i don't let him go out or when i take him back inside. He doesn't like to crawl on the grass though, he mostly wants to be held when he is outside or he just sits somewhere, whether it is on a blanket or the sidewalk and watches everything that is going on.
He is pretty easy going to just let us do our thing and come along. Although he does get a little grumpy on the boat which has proven to be a little stressful so far, but hopefully that will get better.
Dahlin is convinced that this summer will be easier with a walking baby rather than a crawling baby so he has been trying to teach Hux how to stand on his own and walk. Yesterday he stood by himself for almost a whole minute before he realized it and sat back down.
We love everything about this busy, happy baby! He is such a delight and a unique little guy with his red hair. (Although his hair does seem to be getting blonder in the sun which does make me a little sad.)
